The first born in her family, 6-month-old Aseel underwent a cardiac intervention at birth for Polyvalvular heart disease, which occurs when the valves in the heart are damaged or don’t work properly. Aseel was due for a cardiac catherization which was crucial for her growth and could lead to heart failure, if left untreated.

Aseel needed urgent financial aid for her procedure as her father is a taxi driver and the sole provider in a household of 5 persons.

An online crowdfunding campaign was launched to raise the funds for Aseel’s procedure.
