The first born in her family, 6-month-old Mira was diagnosed with Double-Chambered Right Ventricle (DCRV) Ventricular Septal defect (VSD), a very rare congenital heart defect in which the right ventricle of the heart is divided. Babies with DCRV also have a VSD, which is a hole between the lower heart chambers.
Mira was born in an extremely vulnerable family. Her father has been unemployed and struggling to find work. As the sole provider for his family, the cost of Mira’s surgery is beyond his means. Brave Heart was committed to helping Mira but still needed to raise US$12,000 for her heart surgery.
