The youngest of four siblings, 3-year-old Mustafa was diagnosed with Atrioventricular Canal (AVC), which is a large hole in the center of the heart. Mustafa needed surgery to repair the defect in his heart. If left untreated, AVC can cause many problems involving the heart and lungs.

Mustafa’s father couldn’t afford to cover the cost of his son’s operation with his meager income.
An online crowdfunding campaign was successfully launched to raise the funds for Mustafa’s surgery.
